15 90’s Celebrities Who Made Huge Victorious Comebacks In Their Careers
Being a famous Hollywood star has its highs and lows. There are many stars who were huge in the early days of their careers but then faded out of the spotlight. There are many stars who decided to retire way too early as they saw their careers going nowhere.
There are also some stars who fell under hard times and decided to throw in the towel on their careers. And then there are some actors and actresses who fell under hard times but then after a few years made a roaring comeback under the Hollywood spotlight.
‘Dazed and Confused’ was the movie that brought Matthew McConaughey into the Hollywood spotlight and gave him those three magic words. But then by the 2000s till around 2013 he was typecast into romantic movies with a handful of serious roles. But after 2013 we saw what is now called the ‘McConaissance’ where the actor has proven time and time again to be a powerhouse to be dealt with gaining Oscars and Emmys along the way.
She was a child star in the mega-hit ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’ but her later life was not so easy. She was admitted to rehab twice for drug and alcohol abuse and the other for a suicide attempt. Things seemed to go nowhere until she starred in ‘Charlie’s Angels’, ‘50 First Dates’, ‘Blended’ and now on Netflix’s ‘Santa Clarita Diet.’
There was no bigger star than Michael Keaton in the ‘80s and ‘90s. With ‘Beetlejuice’, ‘Batman’ and ‘Batman Returns’ under his belt he was the biggest name in Hollywood. But since the 2000s he found it hard to get proper roles. It was in 2014 that he gained traction with ‘Birdman’ followed by ‘The Founder’, ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, etc.
Mandy Moore is better known to be from the early 2000s with her music. She also starred in a few moves back then the best one being ‘Walk to Remember’. Since then she was seen in a handful of movies but nothing gaining her the traction she wanted. It was in 2010 when she voiced Princess Rapunzel in the animated movie ‘Tangled’ that made her a household name. She got even more recognition from her outstanding performance in the family drama series ‘This Is Us’.
She was the queen of pop in the early 2000s. There wasn’t a single pop radio station that was not playing her music. She was everywhere and the biggest name in music. But then in 2007 she had a very public mental breakdown and shaved her head and was admitted to rehab. Just a year later she released her new album that was a chart-topping success and currently has the highest paying Las Vegas show.
