Every decade there are a number of celebs who retire from the limelight be it for personal or professional reasons. Personal reasons include wanting to spend time with their families, not having passion anymore, etc. While professional reasons for fading away include legal charges or arrests.
Since another decade has passed us we should look back and see how many actors and musicians have either retired or faded away from the limelight as the New Year rolls in. These are 15 celebs whose careers ended in the last decade.
She was seen in movies like ‘Phat Girlz’ and ‘Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins’ before she won an Oscar for her role in the 2009 movie ‘Precious’ following which she got her own TV show. She even won over critics with her incredible performance in the HBO biopic ‘Bessie’ But, according to reports since she did not get involved in the 2017 Oscar controversy with Black actors not being nominated she has been blacklisted in Hollywood.
In 2010 Sheen was the highest-paid star on television in 2010, earning a whopping $1.8 million per episode of ‘Two and a Half Men’. This did not last long as the very next year he was fired from the show. He had a public meltdown and it was revealed that he has nearly $5 million in unpaid taxes. Now the actor cannot find regular work and can’t pay his monthly child support payments.
Vince has had quite a rough but successful career. He began as a funnyman in Hollywood with roles in movies like ‘Swingers’, ‘The Lost World: Jurassic Park’, etc. Then in the 2000s, he took up serious roles like ‘The Cell’, ‘Psycho’, etc. Now, the actor has fallen on hard times and isn’t seen much in mainstream movies.
2019 was supposed to be the year we would’ve seen Lindsay Lohan have a major comeback after years of being in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Her decline began in 2008 with just a handful of TV and movie appearances. She tried to make a comeback from 2012 to 2014 but it was all met with mixed reviews. All she has been seen in since then in low-budget straight to DVD movies.
Another young star who was a huge name in the early 2000s but then faded off was Amanda Bynes. She had her own TV show and was in a few pretty big movies of the time. But from the start of the last decade in 2010 she went on an indefinite hiatus and publically dealt with personal problems including mental health issues.
