A research study says that Neurostatin drug can prevent the Onset of Alzheimer’s Disease!

A research report published in Science Advances journal also points that bexarotene, which is known for its curative effects in cases of lymphoma also stops nucleation of typical amyloid beta proteins that have been observed in cases of Alzheimer’s. The amyloid thus cannot form what is known as protein plaques.

This amyloid beta protein coagulation begins by the age of 40 or even earlier. The only way to prevent such an eventuality is to start taking Neurostatin from a relative early age. Professor Chris Dobson from Cambridge University pointed out that like giving Satin to someone who suffered from heart attack is of little use in the similar way, giving Neurostatin to someone who is on later stages of Alzheimer’s is of little use.

The head of research at Alzheimer’s Research UK, Rosa Sancho pointed out that in case amyloid proteins accumulate this can complicate situation for those suffering from Alzheimer’s. The drug which is being developed to prevent such a scenario can act as a life savior as it can protect nerve cells from death and decay.

The incidence of Alzheimer’s is likely to increase in the coming years. It is predicted that in the next 35 years the number of people who would have suffered from this disease is likely to increase from 40 million to 130 million.

The disturbing scenario here is that 70 percent of such cases would be in low income countries and these countries would have little resources to deal with this scenario. But, a ray of hope can be seen in the form such Neurostatin drugs which can stop the onset of this disease.

People suffering from Alzheimer’s can be helped to some extent if they consume seafood.
