Mix the ingredients and allow it to steep for some time. Strain the solution after it cools down. Enjoy this tea once every day.

You could also take it in the form of a tincture, about 2 to 6ml per day.

A combination of motherwort, lemon balm and bugleweed is quite effective in treating this condition naturally. One word of warning though: this solution should not be used in cases of hypothyroidism or an enlarged thyroid gland.

Lemon balm:

This herb can assist in normalizing an overactive thyroid gland by reducing the TSH levels. It contains flavonoids, phenolic acids and many other useful compounds that help in regulating the thyroid.

  • Water: 1 cup boiling water

Mix the ingredients well and let it sit for some time. Strain and drink this tea 3 times a day. It is advisable to begin this with a lesser dosage, say about 1and ½ to 1 tsp first and then increase the amount gradually.

Motherwort:

This herb acts as a natural beta-blocker and aids in controlling high heart rates and palpitations. It helps in controlling hyperthyroid symptoms.

Method:

Mix the ingredients together and let it sit for some time. Drink this tea three times every day. Exercise caution: do not take this tea if you are taking any sedative medications.

Broccoli:

Broccoli contains substances like isothiocyanates and goitrogens, which help in controlling the thyroid from producing too much hormone. You could also try vegetables like cauliflower; brussel sprouts rutabaga, turnips, kohlrabi, kale, mustard greens and radish.
