4Her win was important
The biggest issue most people have with these types of pageants is that the winners are usually White. Even though there is a huge diversity among the contestants the winner is usually someone with a white skin tone. Though these are all based on the beauty, personality and attractiveness of the contestants some still cry foul play when someone White wins.

5Her message
Being of a dark completion and having short hair, Zozibini took the stage upon winning and had this to say. She said that she was born in a time and place where her skin tone was never considered to be beautiful. Today, upon winning the title of Miss Universe she wanted kids to look up to her and be accept their natural skin tone and be proud of it.
